New York… well it doesn’t need an introduction does it? The city that never sleeps, where all dreams are made and the first city on our belated "honeymoon". It was 12 days of non-stop everything - walking, eating, exploring, dancing and not much sleeping in between.
For a while now I have realised restauranting/eating/food hunting is my second favourite hobby (after all things horses). The excitement that I get from a food experience…well, is quite like no other. In fact I think, along with holidays, it’s what I live for. So naturally, the 12 days in New York were mapped out based on where we were eating, at what time. For others out there like me, New York is the place to fulfill any food fantasy.
Basing ourselves in Soho for the first few days we had intended to move around Manhattan as we discovered the areas. But in the end Soho was where we stayed as we fell in love with the location, the vibe and the people watching.
I’ve compiled some of our hit list we were able to tick off over the 12 short days (although it feels even a life time wouldn't be long enough to cover what we wanted to):

No matter how many times you head to New York, it changes like the wind so there is always something new to eat, drink, see or do, leaving no possibility of a dull trip.
My quick tips:
-
dance till late and get up early,
-
walk a lot and allow yourself to get lost,
-
use the subway (if you’ve mastered London’s Underground, NYC is a breeze),
-
get a US mobile phone sim as soon as you get there (they are cheap and make on the go restaurant reservations much easier),
-
do your “must–do” items early in your trip which leaves the rest of your time open to random finds and local recommendations.
If you would like more specific details from the hit list or New York in general, I would love to hear from you. Send me an email on the contact page!....Happy New Yorking
